LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- The controversy surrounding Davido’s disputed paternity claim has taken a dramatic new turn after Ayo Labinjoh, the mother of the singer’s alleged teenage daughter, publicly challenged his version of events and questioned the credibility of the DNA tests he cited.
The response follows Davido’s recent statement insisting he is not the biological father of Aanu Adeleke, claiming that five separate DNA tests had ruled him out. The singer also stated that he had never met Labinjoh, using harsh language to distance himself from the situation.
In a strongly worded statement shared via her daughter’s Instagram page, Labinjoh rejected those claims and accused the Afrobeats star of abandonment and misrepresentation. She alleged that she met Davido at HQClub and said he cut off contact after assuming she was a prostitute.
Shifting focus to the DNA controversy, Labinjoh disputed the authenticity of the tests referenced by the singer. According to her, the process lacked transparency and medical credibility.
“Dr Deji Adeleke took us to a LAB not a hospital where Anu’s blood was drawn in 2014 then discarded behind our backs and a fake result was printed,” she alleged.
She went further to name individuals she claimed were involved in the process, saying, “Wale Sobola was the lab technician who masked as ‘Dr Alex’ and a brother to actress Sotayo Gaga was the one who wrote an epistle on his page 3 years ago that he never did a test for Anu and discarded the blood drawn blaming the wickedness for his life’s travails.”
Labinjoh accused Davido’s camp of repeatedly shifting narratives over the years, adding that the situation has taken an emotional toll on her daughter.
“We wasted our time, disrupted Anu’s mental health then they lied that we did two tests, now 5 and then he’s never met me,” she stated.
She also alleged direct intimidation, claiming the singer contacted her daughter privately.

“David chatted with my daughter tonight threatening to lock me up, cursing Anu and repeatedly bullying her,” she wrote.
Calling for international oversight, Labinjoh said she would seek diplomatic intervention to ensure a credible outcome.
“David is a US citizen. I will request the US State Department to contact the Embassy in Lagos or Abuja to help us supervise and witness a clean independent DNA test,” she added.
Dismissing suggestions that the dispute is financially motivated, she framed the issue as one of personal truth and dignity.
“I’m not fighting for my daughter. My daughter is fighting for her identity. My daughter did not beg to be here. Saying you’ve never met me or telling your family that I was a prostitute is wrong. Bullying my daughter is WRONG,” she said, condemning Davido’s alleged remarks.
It is shaping up to be a turbulent year for the Afrobeats star, with the unfolding claims intensifying public interest as fans closely watch to see whether an independent DNA test will eventually be conducted to provide the teenager with long-sought clarity.
