LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)– Controversial influencer Martins Vincent Otse, widely known as Verydarkman (VDM), has addressed the “insult” from reality TV star Phyna.
The social commentator reacted strongly after Phyna publicly described him as a “Very Dirty Boy” while accusing him of playing a role in the collapse of her once-close relationship with actress Iyabo Ojo.
Phyna had earlier alleged that her association with Verydarkman triggered the fallout with Iyabo Ojo, a claim that quickly gained traction across social media. The accusation prompted VDM to issue a detailed public response, expressing disappointment over what he described as a misrepresentation of his intentions.

According to VDM, his support for Phyna was consistent and selfless, with no expectation of personal gain. He recalled repeatedly standing by her, from reposting promotions for her movie projects to offering guidance on both personal and professional matters.
“I was always there,” he suggested, emphasizing that his involvement stemmed from goodwill rather than ulterior motives.
Expanding on his account, VDM said he made himself available whenever Phyna reached out, whether for career advice, paid partnerships, or sensitive family concerns. He maintained that he listened, advised, and assisted out of loyalty rather than opportunism.
The influencer went further to question what he truly benefited from the relationship, insisting that he never profited from his association with the reality star. He also alluded to a previous controversy, arguing that greed and poor choices eventually strained ties and eroded the public support Phyna once enjoyed.
In his words, he claimed that many former allies who once promoted and defended her have since withdrawn because, according to him, the spotlight around her has dimmed.
Despite the sharp exchange, Verydarkman ended his response on a softer note. He stated that he harbors no resentment toward Phyna and sincerely wishes her well, signaling a desire to move past the dispute without further hostility.
