LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- Nollywood actress and philanthropist Tonto Dikeh has set a decisive tone for the year, issuing a public warning to brands and individuals hoping to benefit from her influence.
In a strongly worded message shared on social media, the actress made it clear that access to her platform will now be guided strictly by respect, values and professionalism. At the heart of Dikeh’s declaration is a firm stance on personal dignity.
She stressed that respect is “non-negotiable,” noting that she will no longer associate with or promote anyone connected to people or platforms that disrespect her faith or her pastor. The actress framed the decision as part of a broader effort to be more intentional about where she lends her voice and visibility.
“This year, I will be very intentional about the brands and individuals I choose to support. I will not associate with or promote anyone who aligns with people or platforms that are hostile or disrespectful toward me, God of my Pastor,” Dikeh said.
Beyond personal relationships, Dikeh addressed brand partnerships directly. She explained that she would not contribute to the success of any brand that fails to value, honour or protect her identity and work.

In her words, “Respect is non-negotiable. I will not contribute to the growth of any brand that doesn’t value, honour, or protect my person and my work.”
She insisted that her influence is not a free commodity and would only benefit organisations that demonstrate genuine support and appreciation. The actress further urged potential partners to engage in self-reflection before approaching her for promotional support.
“Before approaching me for promotional support, please be guided. Take a moment to reflect and ask yourself: Have I genuinely supported her, and do I accept this request?” she added.
Turning to event invitations, the actress reinforced her boundaries, reminding organisers that all business discussions must go through her management. She cautioned against informal invitations and stressed the importance of appearance fees being discussed upfront.
“Unless we share a close personal relationship, which is very rare, please do not extend event invitations without first acknowledging and discussing my appearance fee with my management. I don’t talk business personally,” she wrote, adding that she does not make casual appearances without clear professional terms.
