ENUGU, NIGERIA (VOICE OF NAIJA)- The Nasarawa State Government has urged residents and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to actively participate in the party’s ongoing e-registration exercise to enable the state emerge as the highest-ranking APC state in the North Central geopolitical zone.

Secretary to the Nasarawa State Government (SSG), Dr. Labaran Magaji, made the call on Tuesday in Lafia while receiving members of the Tiv Renewed Hope Grassroots Mobilisation Movement.

Magaji said Nasarawa boasts a large base of APC members and supporters, stressing that the number of registered party members should reflect the party’s strength across the state.

“You are all ambassadors of the Renewed Hope Agenda. This responsibility is not mine alone,” he said.

“We must enlighten our people on the importance of the APC e-registration exercise, which is extremely critical.”

He explained that he deliberately devoted time to addressing the issue because of its significance to the party’s growth and consolidation.

“Considering the achievements of President Bola Tinubu and the APC, there should be no need to persuade anyone about what we have been able to accomplish,” Magaji added.

The SSG commended President Tinubu and Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, for what he described as the entrenchment of good governance, which he said has translated into visible infrastructural development and economic benefits across the state.

“All these achievements are to the credit of Mr. President, Bola Tinubu. If the funds were not released, would these projects have been possible?” he asked.

“We are also fortunate to have a steadfast governor.”

Magaji cited several projects as evidence of development under the APC-led administration, including the state secretariat complex, the dualised Shendam Road, the Lafia flyover, and the underpass.

“These projects did not exist two years ago. What we are seeing today is the product of good governance, which flows from the top down,” he said.

He thanked the Tiv Renewed Hope Grassroots Mobilisation Movement for the visit and assured members that they, alongside other support groups, would be integrated into the Renewed Hope Agenda once its structure is fully operational in the state.

“I sincerely appreciate your visit. You have come to add value to the responsibility assigned to me and to gather information that will strengthen our party’s prospects in Nasarawa,” he said.

Responding to the group’s request for mobility support and logistics, Magaji said it was premature to make firm commitments, noting that the operational framework of the Renewed Hope Agenda across the states was yet to be fully clarified.

Earlier, the State Chairman of the Tiv Renewed Hope Grassroots Mobilisation Movement, Mr. Solomon Chunky, said the group visited the SSG to seek collaboration, having observed the achievements recorded under President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and Governor Sule’s industrialisation drive.

Chunky said the movement had already commenced grassroots mobilisation aimed at securing the support of Tiv voters across the state’s 13 local government areas for President Tinubu and the APC in the next general elections.

“We have witnessed good governance, we have experienced it, and we believe in it,” he said.

“That is why like-minded progressives have come together to ensure that this good governance continues beyond 2027.”

The visit ended with the presentation of an award, Pillar of Tiv Renewed Hope, to Magaji.

He was also formally conferred with the title of Grand Patron of the Tiv Renewed Hope Grassroots Mobilisation Movement.
