LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)-After streamer Carter Efe claimed his baby mama Emmanuella denied him access to their son Charis, her friends have stepped forward, publicly accusing him of abuse, abandonment, and neglect toward her.
Social media influencer Jojo of Lele, a close friend of Emmanuella, condemned Carter Efe for allegedly attempting to blackmail her online, sparking widespread outrage across Nigerian entertainment circles.
The drama follows Carter Efe’s emotional posts claiming his relationship with Emmanuella ended over a year ago. He alleged that she abandoned him for five months, leaving him without contact with their child, and only returned when his financial situation improved.
Jojo did not hold back, questioning the streamer’s treatment of Emmanuella.

She said, “Carter Efe, what you’re doing is not fair, coming online to blackmail an innocent girl. She has been protecting your image for years. You will pursue her for house, yet you didn’t even bother to check on her or the baby afterward.”
Her comments underline claims that Emmanuella had long protected Carter Efe’s reputation while receiving little care in return. Leaked messages from Emmanuella’s friends reveal the emotional toll she endured.
The chats showed her expressing confusion, and admitting she felt like she was “going mad.” One photo reportedly showed her in a cab on the day of her delivery, wrapped in a hospital sheet due to a lack of clothing.
Another features her and her son Charis, with her friend Miss Mona describing Emmanuella as “always unhappy and crying often over the mistreatment she suffered from Carter Efe.”
Miss Mona added, “Elma has been suffering in the hands of Carter Efe. He even threw her and the baby out of the house a month postpartum. She stayed at my house for two months while my sister and I provided food, clothes, and creams for the baby. Carter doesn’t call or check on them. Any opportunity he has, he will beat her up. Elma has been suffering.”
Additional videos reportedly show Emmanuella with bruised face and swollen eyes, supporting allegations of physical abuse, including incidents in Ghana. Reports also claim she was locked out of their home at 2 a.m., intensifying accusations of neglect and harassment.
These revelations have fueled a public backlash against Carter Efe, with Jojo of Lele and Miss Mona, leading the call for accountability.
