LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- Nigerian music legend Yinka Ayefele was left in fits of laughter after a fan surprised him by spraying bundles of N5 notes during a recent stage performance.
The hilarious moment, shared on Ayefele’s social media, quickly captured the attention of fans across the globe.
On stage, Ayefele’s hands were already full of cash as the excited fan stepped forward, handing over crisp bundles of the smallest Nigerian currency.
“Five five Naira! Opo po po opo,” the singer sang, balancing the cash while continuing to deliver his performance with a mix of amusement and admiration.

The fan didn’t stop there, even offering a bundle to Ayefele’s crew while making playful gestures for them to share.
Moments later, he collected more bundles from someone near the stage and continued “spraying” the singer, prompting laughter from both the band and Ayefele himself.
In Yoruba, Ayefele sang praises for the generous fan while jokingly asking him to pause, his hands overflowing with notes. The fan, seemingly unstoppable, danced and exclaimed, “Money na water,” tossing some of the bills into the air before resuming the playful cash shower.
Sharing the clip online, Ayefele wrote, “5 naira bundles???… Ohun oju mi ri enu mi ko leeso,” which translates to, “What my eyes have seen, my mouth cannot tell.”
Fans were thoroughly entertained, joking about the difficulty of tallying the total and noting that even N5 notes can still make a difference at the market.
