LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- Popular Nigerian skit maker and streamer Carter Efe has spoken candidly about his breakup with his baby mama, Emmanuella, shedding light on a deeply personal chapter he says nearly derailed his life and career.

In a post on X, the 28-year-old entertainer disclosed that he has been single for over a year, describing the separation as a necessary step toward healing.

He wrote, “Just to let you know guys have been single for over 1 year now❤️🙏 God is good!!!! I saw mad changes in my life🙏”

According to Carter Efe, the relationship took a heavy toll on his mental health, finances, and creative output, leaving him unable to think clearly or maintain stability at the time.

Transitioning from personal struggle to professional triumph, Carter Efe, now recognized as Africa’s leading Twitch entertainment creator with over 500,000 followers, claimed the period was marked by isolation and pain.

He alleged that he was denied access to his son, Charis, for three months and said Emmanuella his baby mama disappeared from his life for five months, only resurfacing after his career gained momentum.

Backing his claims, Carter Efe shared throwback images of himself grinding in a single-room setup with his team. He credited God for his turnaround and acknowledged music star Davido for supporting his journey, noting that his Twitch streams have since peaked at an impressive 83,000 live viewers.

Another emotional layer of his story centered on fatherhood. The content creator described going months without seeing his child as one of the most heartbreaking experiences of his life, emphasizing how that absence affected him deeply.

However, distancing himself from the relationship proved to be a turning point. Carter Efe said the decision allowed him to rediscover happiness, regain focus, and rebuild momentum in his career. He linked his recent surge in visibility and success directly to that moment of clarity, adding that he is now in a far better place emotionally and professionally.

Expressing gratitude in his closing remarks, the streamer reflected on how transformative the past year has been.
