LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- Nigerian comedian Emmanuel Chukwuemeka Ejekwu, widely known as Sabinus, has sparked conversation online after sharing a painful personal story about love, money, and regret during a TikTok livestream.
The skit maker described romance as unforgiving while reflecting on his own experience with heartbreak following an extravagant gesture.
Speaking during a live session with TikToker Sandra Benede, Sabinus said his past mirrors the emotional turmoil currently surrounding TikTok personality Peller, whose breakup with girlfriend Jarvis publicly pushed him over the edge.
The comedian noted that Peller’s recent emotional outbursts and involvement in a serious car accident stem from heartbreak many people underestimate.

Drawing from his own past, Sabinus revealed that he once gifted a former partner a Range Rover out of love, only for the relationship to collapse later. According to him, the experience left a lasting lesson about how vulnerable love can make people, regardless of status or success.
“Jarvis has finished Peller. I have been in Peller’s situation before. Love is cruel. I once gifted a girl Range Rover because of love. She later left me. I regretted it. So nobody should blame Peller,” Sabinus said.
He used the moment to appeal for empathy, urging Nigerians to go easy on Peller while stressing that emotional pain often fuels extreme reactions.
The revelation follows another personal disclosure from Sabinus, who recently confirmed that his marriage to his wife, Ciana Chapman, has ended. The couple tied the knot in a private ceremony in 2023 and share a child together, but the union lasted just over a year.
