ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- The Lagos political community has been plunged into mourning following the death of Oluwafemi Olawale Adefulire, the only son of former Lagos State Deputy Governor and current Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Tinubu on Sustainable Development Goals, Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire.
Oluwafemi, who was a medical doctor, reportedly died in the early hours of Wednesday after undergoing a surgical procedure in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The circumstances surrounding the surgery were not disclosed.
The development has sparked widespread grief within the All Progressives Congress (APC), particularly in Alimosho Local Government Area, where the Adefulire family is known for its long-standing political presence.
Confirming the incident, Lagos APC Publicity Secretary, Seye Oladejo, described the loss as devastating, noting that it was one of the most painful experiences any parent could endure.
“It is unfortunately true, and the party is deeply shaken,” Oladejo said on Thursday.

Since news of the incident broke, condolence messages have continued to pour in from party leaders, political allies, community stakeholders, and residents of Lagos State, all expressing sympathy with the bereaved family.
