Nicki Minaj Demands Freedom For Christians In Nigeria Amid Renewed Killings

LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- American rapper Nicki Minaj has once again used her global platform to spotlight the escalating violence in Nigeria.

On X, the rapper made a forceful call for the protection of Christians amid ongoing attacks that have rocked communities across the country.

Nicki shared a faith-driven message that quickly reverberated worldwide. Drawing from Christian hymnal, Minaj voiced alarm over continued bloodshed and issued a direct plea for action.

“On Christ the solid rock I stand. All other ground is sinking sand. All other ground. FREE THE CHRISTIANS IN NIGERIA. STOP THIS NOW,” she wrote.

Her post was accompanied by a series of biblical appeals urging an end to insecurity. The Grammy winner referenced a pattern of violence that has included school abductions, church attacks, killings, and kidnappings.

Notably, this is not Nicki Minaj’s first intervention on the issue. In November, she addressed the crisis during a United Nations–related briefing, where she warned that Christians were being targeted because of how they worship.

During that appearance, she described communities living under constant threat, with families displaced and homes destroyed. She also publicly thanked former U.S. President Donald Trump for previously drawing attention to the situation.

However, Nigerian authorities have consistently pushed back against claims of religious persecution. The Federal Government maintains that the violence is driven by banditry and terrorism rather than faith-based targeting.

Minaj’s renewed outcry has once again amplified global focus on Nigeria’s security challenges, with supporters hoping that sustained international attention will translate into meaningful protection for vulnerable communities.
