LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- YouTube has released its highly anticipated 2025 Nigeria Year-in-Review, revealing the music videos and creators that commanded the country’s attention throughout the year.
The platform’s Head of Music for Sub-Saharan Africa, Addy Awofisayo, announced the results in an official statement, spotlighting gospel sensation Gaise Baba and Nollywood powerhouse Omoni Oboli as the year’s standout performers.
Gaise Baba led the music charts with his inspirational hit “No Turning Back II” featuring Lawrence Oyor, which finished as Nigeria’s most-watched music video of 2025.
Released in mid-May, the video became a nationwide hit, racking up more than 41 million views within six months and igniting major engagement across the platform.
His triumph placed him above several mainstream heavyweights in Nigeria’s top-watched music videos list.

The most-watched music videos in Nigeria for 2025 include Gaise Baba’s “No Turning Back II” featuring Lawrence Oyor, followed by Shallipopi’s “Laho.” Davido’s “With You” featuring Omah Lay also ranks highly, Asake’s soulful “Why Love,” along with “Ninety Nine” by Olamide, Seyi Vibez, Asake, and Young John featuring Daecolm.
Other popular entries are Rema’s “Baby Is It a Crime,” Chella’s “My Darling,” Wizkid’s “Kese (Dance),” Shallipopi and Burna Boy’s “Laho II,” and Davido’s visualizer version of “With You” featuring Omah Lay.
In the creator category, actress and filmmaker Omoni Oboli holds the top position with her channel, Omoni Oboli TV. She is followed by Ibrahim Yekini of Itelediconstudio, Uchenna Mbunabo of Uchenna Mbunabo TV, and Aminu Saira of Saira Movies.
Maurice Sam runs Maurice Sam TV, Ruth Kadiri manages RuthKadiri Two Four Seven, and ApataTV Plus remains a major entertainment channel. Other prominent creators include Uche Montana with Uche Montana TV, Sonia Uche with her self-titled channel, and comedian Brain Jotter, whose channel also ranks among the top.
With soaring viewership figures and a diverse lineup of creators shaping digital culture, YouTube’s 2025 roundup underscores the platform’s growing influence on Nigerian entertainment.
