LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- Lagos is alive with creativity this December as Deestincts Bootcamp launches its annual SkillUp50 program, bringing together 50 of Nigeria’s brightest young talents.

From December 1 to 11, 25 designers, including illustrators, motion artists, and graphic designers and 25 developers are immersing themselves in an intensive, hands-on program designed to sharpen skills, inspire innovation, and unlock career opportunities.

The stakes are high this year as a standout creative will walk away with a ₦1.5 million HP Spectre x360 laptop to suit design-heavy workflows, coding projects, and supercharge the winner’s creative journey.

Industry trailblazers are taking the stage to guide participants through practical strategies for monetizing talent and thriving as a professional creative.

Speakers include Ayomide Bello, Growth & Partnership Lead at Utiva Ronke Adeboye, Rukayat Yaro, Eniola Ademola aka DaveWorld, Simlex, Founder of StableStack Mark Afolabi, and Utiva’s data expert Rachael Okoli, among others.

From coding to design, business skills to portfolio building, they’re sharing insights that push boundaries and elevate careers.

Deestincts emphasizes that SkillUp50 is more than a bootcamp, it’s an intensive, real-world experience.

At the Cre8tive Space in Adeniran Ogunsanya Shopping Mall, Surulere, Lagos, participants take part in mentor-led challenges, collaborative projects, and expert critiques that simulate the demands of the entertainment and tech industries.

With high-energy sessions, networking opportunities, and tangible rewards, this year’s cohort is set to leave with sharper skills, stronger portfolios, and connections that could define the next chapter of Nigerian creative talent.

For participants, the countdown to transforming their artistic journey into a professional powerhouse is on. Their passion for tireless learning, experimentation, and creativity could culminate in winning the ultimate prize.
