LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)-Nigerian singer Speed Darlington has once again set social media abuzz, this time over a ₦1,000 transport dispute with two women.

In a viral video, the controversial artist demanded an immediate refund, accusing the women of taking money meant for transport but failing to show up to meet him.

The singer, known for his outspoken personality, described their actions as “disrespectful and deceitful.”

Speaking in Igbo, he pleaded, “Come this girl and your sister, return the money I gave you as fare. Don’t tell me you are so poor and I gave you ₦1,000 for transport to come see me, to sleep with me, and then you failed to show up. Send my money back. It is small but send it back.”

The video quickly went viral, sparking divided reactions. Some social media users mocked the incident due to the relatively small amount, while others backed Darlington, emphasizing the importance of accountability even in seemingly minor transactions.

This episode adds to Speed Darlington’s reputation for turning personal disagreements into trending topics.

While the women involved have yet to comment, the ₦1,000 saga continues to circulate and inspire memes across Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok.
