Bodex Media Announces 6th Social Media Hangout On AI, Digital Influence

LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – Lagos is set to come alive once again as Bodex Media announces the 6th edition of the Bodex Social Media Hangout (BSMH 6.0).

The BSMH is a three-day, power-packed digital media and thought-leadership event scheduled to hold from Friday, November 21 to Sunday, November 23, 2025.

With the theme “Social Media & A.I Influence: Transforming Yourself, Services & Society,” the annual event will explore the evolving intersection of technology, ethics, and innovation in shaping modern communication and influence.

According to the convener, Bodex Hungbo, this year’s Hangout will span across the University of Lagos, Akoka, and Radisson Blu Hotel, Ikeja, featuring policymakers, academics, creatives, legal experts, and digital strategists who are driving Africa’s communication and innovation frontiers.

“This edition focuses on the synergy between artificial intelligence and human influence — how technology can transform individuals, services, and societies for the better,” Hungbo explained.

According to Hungbo, the first day, themed “The Learning Experience,” will kick off at 9:00 a.m. at the Distance Learning Institute, University of Lagos, Akoka, and will center on conversations around ethics, education, and youth empowerment in the AI era.

Confirmed speakers include Prof. Oloruntola Sunday, Dean, Faculty of Communication & Media Studies, UNILAG who will speak on “The New Media Mindset: Training Ethical Communicators in the AI Age & Impact of New Media on Traditional Media.”

Lady Lola Adey, AI Consultant will speak on “How to Use AI Tools to Build Personal Brands and Drive Creative Confidence.”

Bosun Osifowora, Legal Practitioner another speaker who will take “Ethics of Expression & Digital Responsibility: The Law in a Tech-Driven Society,” and Dr. Akin Olaniyan, Convener, Centre for Social Media Research.

Dr Olaniyan will take “Social Media & Society: Mapping Digital Influence Across Generations.”

The day will also feature a Youth Panel Session moderated by Bodex Hungbo and Lanre Basamta, themed “The Future is Now – Youth, Tech & Purpose.” Panelists include Thelma Lawson, Roseanne Chikwendu, and other young changemakers redefining digital influence in their generation.

The second day, titled “The Influence Experience,” will hold at Radisson Blu Hotel, Ikeja from 10:00 a.m.

The session will focus on how AI is transforming professional, legal, and creative ecosystems.

Keynote speakers include Mr. Gbenga Omotoso, Lagos State Commissioner for Information & Strategy who will be speaking on “Leveraging Data for Public Engagement & Crisis Management.”

Mr. Kayode Akintemi, MD/CEO, News Central TV will also take the topic “Redefining Journalism with AI: Opportunities & Ethical Dilemmas.”

While Dr. Kelechi Okoro (The Healthertainer), Founder, Plan Am Well will take the topic “AI in Healthcare: Humanizing Medicine Through Data and Empathy,” Dr. Seye Kehinde, Media Entrepreneur will speak on “AI Journalism and the Evolution of Storytelling.”

Mr. Bamidele Olamilekan A., Principal Partner, Lekan Bamidele & Co will also speak on “Copyright, Content Ownership & the Legal Future of AI Creativity.”

Two interactive panel sessions moderated by Dr. Barr. Uzoamaka Orakwue and Osayuwamen Saleh will feature Lady Bimbo Akintola, Chinonso Ukah (Nons Miraj), Temitope Ajayi, Sola Fajobi, Ayodeji Olufolahan, Omolabake Fatayo, Obembe Oluwatosin Femi, and others discussing “The Influence Economy – AI, Branding, and Human Connection.”

Day three will climax with the Bodex Media Awards at Radisson Blu Hotel, Ikeja, celebrating individuals and brands leveraging innovation and influence for social good.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu will serve as Keynote Speaker and Honouree, receiving the “Most Friendly Digital Media Governor of the Year” Award.

Other distinguished awardees include: Dr. Seye Kehinde – Lifetime Media Excellence Award, Denrele Edun – Icon of Influence Award, Kolade Mayowa Bolade – Most Innovative Fashion Entrepreneur of the Year, Ademusoro Emmanuel (Mr Escom1) – Breakthrough Skit Maker of the Year, Erem Emeka Nehemiah – Animation Brand of the Year, Adeyemo Biliqis Omolade – Strategic Fashion Entrepreneur of the Year, Obembe Oluwatosin Femi – Creative Leadership and Innovation of the Year.

Hungbo emphasized that the awards “not only recognize excellence but reaffirm the Bodex brand’s mission of celebrating ethical influence, creativity, and leadership across generations.”

 “From academic insights to creative empowerment, from governance dialogue to recognition of excellence — Bodex Social Media Hangout 6.0 is once again setting the standard for how social media and technology can transform lives, industries, and societies,” she said.
