LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- The ongoing drama between Nollywood star Regina Daniels and her estranged husband, billionaire politician Ned Nwoko, has exploded into a public feud after Regina’s mother, Rita Daniels, accused Nwoko of using his influence to arrest her children.
What began as quiet marital tension has now turned into a full-blown family crisis, with both Regina and her mother taking to social media to share emotional accounts of alleged abuse and intimidation.
In a tearful post on Instagram, the 24-year-old actress claimed her husband ordered the arrest of her elder brother and sister, allegedly demanding that she return to him and go for rehab before they would be released.
Regina, who appeared distraught, denied claims of drug use and said she’s been trying to stay silent despite mounting pressure.

“You said I’m a drug addict. Me l use am rub body, sir! What other name will you call me? A prostitute? Must things go completely south if partners are no longer interested? The beautiful legacy we built is now being ridiculed by the world,” she wrote.
Her emotional outburst quickly trended across social media, prompting reactions from fans and colleagues worried about the actress’s wellbeing.
In a separate video circulating online, Rita Daniels accused Senator Nwoko of paying police officers to beat and detain her children, calling on Nigerians to intervene. She alleged that the politician has repeatedly abused his power and that her family has endured enough.
“Nigerians come and help me. Senator Nwoko gave them money to beat my son to stupor. This is an abuse of power,” Rita Daniels cried out.
The actress’s mother further claimed that both she and Regina once supported Nwoko’s political ambitions, contributing financially to his campaign but have since been “betrayed” by his actions.
Meanwhile, gathered reports state that police officers fired tear gas while dispersing relatives at the station, deepening public outrage.
As the tension between both families intensifies, fans continue to call for calm and private resolution. While Ned Nwoko has yet to issue an official statement, the once glamorous union between the actress and the senator appears to be unraveling painfully before the world’s eyes.
