LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)-The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Lagos State Council, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of the wife of its former Chairman Dr. Qasim Akinreti.
NUJ describes the loss as a painful moment for the Lagos journalism community.
In a condolence message signed by the NUJ Lagos Chairman, Adeleye Ajayi, the union extended its heartfelt sympathy to Dr. Akinreti and his family, acknowledging his immense contributions to the growth and integrity of journalism in Lagos State.
The statement, issued by the Council’s Secretary, Tunde Olalere, emphasized the union’s solidarity with the bereaved family, assuring Dr. Akinreti of the NUJ’s full support during this period of grief.
