LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- Nigerian senator and billionaire Ned Nwoko has addressed the explosive fallout from a viral video showing his wife, Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, visibly distressed during a heated confrontation.
In a statement shared on Instagram, Nwoko claimed the actress is battling drug and alcohol addiction, which he described as the root cause of their ongoing marital crisis.
“Regina was not always like this. Her current battle with drugs and alcohol abuse is the root of our problem. She must continue her rehabilitation programme, or I fear for her life and safety,” he wrote.

The video, which surfaced online Saturday, captured Daniels in emotional distress, shouting, “In Ned Nwoko’s house, I am nothing, but in my own house, I am a Queen. Not again. I can’t stand the violence, it’s too much.”
In his post, Nwoko alleged the actress went on a violent rampage in his absence, attacking staff and damaging property. He claimed she had “slapped and hit three staff” and destroyed cars and windows within 48 hours.
He further accused individuals close to Daniels of enabling her behavior, labeling them as drug suppliers.
“While I took Moon to the hospital, a scene of chaos unfolded at home, orchestrated by Sammy, Regina’s main drug supplier,” he alleged. He also named another alleged enabler, referring to her as “the tiny evil devil called Ann.”
Nwoko said he had offered Daniels two rehab options, in Asokoro or Jordan, insisting she needs a controlled environment away from drugs.
The controversy deepened when Regina’s brother, Sammy West, publicly fired back on Instagram, accusing Nwoko of domestic abuse.
“Anywhere wey man dey beat woman, whether na my sister or not, I go fight with my blood,” he wrote.
So far, Regina Daniels and her team have remained silent on the senator’s claims. The actress, who married Nwoko in 2019, has frequently faced public scrutiny due to the couple’s 40-year age difference.
As the video continues to trend across social platforms, the unfolding drama between the high-profile couple has sparked a wave of speculation, with fans awaiting Daniels’ side of the story.
