(VOICE OF NAIJA) – The Executive Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, has been officially conferred as the Grand Patron of the Bodex Social Media Hangout (BSMH) Initiative, a platform dedicated to promoting responsible social media use and digital literacy across Nigeria.
This recognition came during a courtesy visit by the BSMH team, led by its Convener, Bodex Hungbo, to the Governor’s Office in Lagos, as part of activities leading up to the sixth edition of the Bodex Social Media Hangout (BSMH 6.0).
This year’s edition, themed “Social Media and A.I Influence: Transforming Yourself, Services, and the Society,” aims to explore the intersection of artificial intelligence, online influence, and social impact, continuing BSMH’s mission to foster responsible digital engagement and media innovation.
During the visit, the BSMH delegation expressed profound appreciation to Governor Sanwo-Olu for his administration’s consistent support for youth-driven and tech-focused initiatives. Hungbo lauded the Governor’s digital-forward leadership, noting that his inclusive governance style and active online presence have made Lagos a model for digital participation and citizen engagement in Africa.

In addition, he will be presented with the “Most Digital Media-Friendly Governor of the Year” award in recognition of his visionary leadership and commitment to leveraging technology for public engagement and transparency in governance.
