LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA) – American singer and actress, Jennifer Lopez has opened up on her most personal heartbreaks.

In a strikingly candid interview on The Howard Stern Show, the global superstar opened up about her failed marriages, emotional realizations, and what she finally understands about love.

Jennifer Lopez, known for her high-profile romances revealed in a rare, vulnerable moment that despite the multiple relationships, she’s never truly felt loved.

During a deeply personal conversation, the 56-year-old reflected on her romantic history, including her marriage to Ben Affleck and past relationships with Marc Anthony and Alex Rodriguez, and revealed the painful clarity she’s gained over the years.

When host Howard Stern asked whether she believes she’s “truly been loved,” Lopez responded with a quiet but telling, “No.” She then paused before explaining that while she has loved deeply, her partners often were not capable of the same depth.

“What I learned, it’s not that I’m not lovable. It’s that they’re not capable. They gave me what they had… All the rings, the houses, the marriage, all of it. But it wasn’t the kind of love that sees or accepts you fully,” Lopez explained.

Lopez, who shares 17-year-old twins Max and Emme with ex-husband Marc Anthony, described her most recent divorce to Ben Affleck as a turning point.

“It was the best thing that ever happened to me,” she said, crediting the emotional work that followed, including therapy, coaching, and self-reflection for helping her find inner peace.

“I was like, ‘I’m gonna f**king figure this sh*t out if it kills me. I now understand the core of it, it’s you. It’s nobody else,” she added.

She spoke openly about confronting old wounds, including childhood neglect, and learning how her past shaped her relationship patterns, saying, “Now I can sit here much more self-aware and really appreciate the person I am. I’m really comfortable being myself, all the good parts and all the complicated things.”

Earlier this month, Lopez appeared alongside ex-husband Ben Affleck at the New York premiere of her latest film, which he helped produce. While their reunion sparked fan speculation, a source close to the former couple confirmed there’s no romantic reconciliation on the horizon, but emphasized that “they’re in a really good place.”

After decades of living her love life in the public eye, Jennifer Lopez hinted that her future relationships will stay firmly out of the spotlight.
