LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- Big Brother Naija star Phyna is back in the spotlight after a real-life brawl that erupted at a hotel in Abuja.
A viral video making the rounds online shows the reality TV personality in a physical altercation with another woman and being dragged out by security officials, sparking intense reactions across social media.
Addressing the controversy, Phyna took to her Instagram story to share her side of the story.
According to her, the woman involved in the fight was a close friend who had been repeatedly stealing from her.
She claimed the most recent theft led to a confrontation that escalated into a violent scene.
“The video circulating was recorded after the fight. She stole again yesterday and got caught. While trying to sort it, it led to a fight… She brought touts to the hotel. I was dragged down by them, and she was on me,” Phyna wrote.

Phyna confirmed that the woman involved has been hospitalized due to the incident and warned that legal action would follow. She alleged that only three people were with her at the time, while the rest were part of a group brought in by the other woman.
Reflecting on her personal challenges this year, Phyna advised cutting off old friends after achieving success, warning that jealousy and envy tend to grow with fame.
Despite the incident, Phyna appeared unbothered in her message, stating she was “chilling” at the hotel while her alleged attacker remained in the hospital.
“When she wakes up, she will go chill in prison,” she added.
Even as the video continues to trend, reactions have been mixed. Some criticize Phyna for resorting to violence, while others defend her actions as self-defense.
