LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- American missionary and activist Mike Arnold, has ignited a firestorm on social media after accusing Nigerian political commentator Reno Omokri of chronic lying, clout-chasing, and deception in viral post exposing false claims and political manipulation.
In a scathing exposé posted to X social, Arnold painted a disturbing picture of Omokri, describing him as cold, calculating, and deceitfully charming.
The post, now trending across multiple platforms, outlines Arnold’s alleged firsthand encounters with Omokri in Kenya, Texas, and Abuja. He claims these experiences revealed a pattern of chronic falsehoods, fabricated connections, and staged events designed to boost Omokri’s public image.
Among the most damning claims, Omokri allegedly posted videos flaunting luxury vehicles he didn’t own, including two that belonged to a friend of Arnold. He also reportedly made grand promises to arrange high-level meetings with Nigerian officials, including President Bola Tinubu, NSA Nuhu Ribadu, and the Sultan of Sokoto, which never materialized.

Arnold further accused Omokri of spreading false narratives to inflate his reputation both in Nigeria and internationally. He alleged that Omokri falsely introduced him as the mayor of Blanco, Texas, and a close ally of U.S. Senator Ted Cruz, claims Arnold firmly denies.
“Reno lies calm, cool, constant. Up close, he’s reptilian. Chilling. Soulless. Yet so charming,” Arnold wrote.
The post goes beyond personal grievances, as Arnold warns that Omokri’s alleged fabrications are not just about ego, but have serious implications. He accuses Omokri of downplaying the ongoing persecution of Christians in Nigeria for personal political gain, stating that his actions are “gaslighting a nation while innocent people suffer.”
In a blistering close, Arnold called Omokri a “sociopath” and likened him to a modern-day Joseph Goebbels (a German Nazi politician), accusations that have sparked heated debate online and polarized public opinion.
While Omokri has yet to officially respond to the allegations, the internet is buzzing with calls for accountability, as users dissect Arnold’s claims and await possible fallout.
