Nollywood star Adesua Etomi-Wellington is tugging on heartstrings as she celebrates her second son, Zekiah, turning one through a deeply emotional post that reflected on her journey through motherhood, faith, and healing.
On her Instagram page, Adesua Etomi shared an emotional tribute marking her son Zekiah’s first birthday, calling him a living proof of God’s faithfulness.
Overflowing with gratitude, she described him as “our sunshine,” “our strong-willed baby,” and “a bundle of joy with a PhD in facial expressions.”

“We can’t believe today is your first birthday, Zekiah… You are proof that God still answers prayers… and also steals your sleep,” she wrote.
Adesua, who is married to singer and actor Banky W, offered heartfelt prayers for her son, declaring that his life will reflect strength, purpose, and God’s goodness.
“You will shine everywhere you go… Your life will be a series of tangible, indisputable evidence that Jesus is alive and God is good,” she declared.
The actress didn’t shy away from sharing the challenges behind the joy. Reflecting on her postpartum journey, Adesua called the experience “humbling and intense,” touching on brutal hair loss, sleep deprivation, and emotional recovery.
Her transparency comes months after revealing her battles during childbirth, including a difficult emergency C-section, intense postpartum bleeding, and physical exhaustion. Still, she affirms, “I’d do it all again.”
Earlier in 2024, Adesua opened up about her struggle with hyperemesis gravidarum, a severe pregnancy condition that left her hospitalized. She expressed gratitude to her husband, medical team, and family for standing by her during what she called one of the hardest seasons of her life.
Despite the trials, Adesua continues to radiate strength, grounded faith, and a deep sense of purpose in motherhood.
