LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)-Nigerian music sensation Peter Okoye, better known as Mr P, has once again stirred the pot in his long-standing feud with his brothers, Paul and Jude Okoye.
The family rift, which has spanned several years and captured public attention, took a fresh turn this week following new allegations and social media outbursts.
The latest spark came after a statement allegedly made by the family’s lawyer accused Peter of lying in court. In response, Mr P lashed out online, claiming that their publicist was working overtime to smear his name and portray him as dishonest.
“I am not May D or Cynthia Morgan,” Peter declared, drawing parallels to other artists previously managed by his elder brother Jude under the now-defunct Northside Entertainment label.
His mention of Cynthia Morgan, who had her own highly publicized fallout with Jude, did not go unnoticed. The dancehall artist fired back via Instagram, expressing her disappointment and hurt over being dragged into the family feud.
“You made me feel weak,” Cynthia stated, pointing fingers at Peter as one of the contributors to her distress during her time with the Okoye family.

In a follow-up post, Peter claimed he had offered Cynthia a contract in 2020, which she declined after allegedly being convinced he was the “bad egg” of the family.
“Sad you rejected the contract I gave you just because they made you see me as the bad egg. God has a purpose for everything… It’s never too late to be what you might have been,” he wrote.
Peter then reignited his criticism of Jude Okoye, this time alleging financial misconduct. He claimed Jude’s wife held 80% ownership of the P-Square business and had diverted group earnings for years, all while deflecting blame onto Peter’s wife, Lola Omotayo.
“They made it seem like my wife, Lola, was the problem,” he wrote.
“Meanwhile, it was Jude’s wife who diverted P-Square’s proceeds for years. Imagine if it were my wife, the media would have dragged her endlessly. Una Thief Abi Una No Thief? Family does not steal from family. I disown them,” he declared.
Mr P concluded his fiery statements by reaffirming that his departure from P-Square was never about fame or fortune, but about freedom.
“The truth shall prevail,” he wrote, signaling no intention of backing down in what continues to be one of Afrobeats’ most dramatic family sagas.
