LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)-American rapper and YouTuber Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr., better known as DDG, has revealed plans to purchase a home in Lagos, Nigeria, as his custody dispute with ex-girlfriend Halle Bailey intensifies.
The rapper shared the news on Friday via his official X social account, writing, “Finna buy a house in Lagos, Nigeria. What’s a good area?”
This follows his earlier announcement in March that he was considering relocating to Nigeria due to growing dissatisfaction with life in the United States.

DDG’s latest move comes against the backdrop of an ongoing legal battle with Bailey, with whom he shares a child.
Amid widespread reports suggesting that DDG was denied a temporary restraining order against Bailey, his legal team issued a statement to set the record straight.
According to the statement, the court did in fact grant a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) based on “serious allegations” presented in DDG’s application.
The attorney further noted that custody-related matters are still unresolved and will be addressed in a forthcoming evidentiary hearing, where both parties will be allowed to present their cases.
