LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)-Popular Nigerian rapper and activist, Folarin Falana, widely known as Falz, has firmly denied having any personal relationship with controversial crossdresser Bobrisky, following rumors sparked by an alleged leaked phone conversation.
The speculation resurfaced amid an ongoing legal feud between Falz and outspoken social media critic VeryDarkMan(VDM), who last year leaked what he claimed was a phone conversation between the rapper and Bobrisky while the latter was in prison.
In response, Falz filed a defamation lawsuit against VDM, a case that remains active in court.
Speaking during an interview with Arise TV, Falz revealed that despite filing the case months ago, VDM has yet to mount a proper defense.

“There’s a substantive suit that myself and my dad filed for defamation. Since we filed it, they haven’t entered a defense. They only submitted a preliminary objection, claiming the court lacked jurisdiction,”
“But that’s already been thrown out. Now, they have no choice but to enter a defense, or the court will proceed with judgment,” Falz explained.
Addressing the rumors surrounding his alleged ties with Bobrisky, Falz set the record straight, saying the only interaction he had was a message Bobrisky sent on Instagram seeking help during legal troubles.
“I never had any relationship with Bobrisky prior to that phone call,” he said. “He reached out like many others do, asking for help. I listened out of compassion, just like I do with countless others. I didn’t see it as anything exceptional.”
Reflecting on the fallout, Falz expressed regret over the misunderstanding and added, “Maybe I’ll be more cautious going forward. Once bitten, twice shy.”
