LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)-Nigerian rapper and social activist Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz, has expressed uncertainty about raising his future children in Nigeria.
Falz made the candid revelation during a recent episode of the “Dear Ife Series” podcast, hosted by media personality Ifedayo Agoro.
Citing concerns over insecurity, economic instability, and threats linked to his activism, the hitmaker thoughtfully responded when his host asked if he would consider raising his children in Nigeria.

“Ah! That’s a deep question. I didn’t expect that,” he replied, visibly taken aback.
Promising to be honest with his answer, Falz said, “I haven’t really thought that far, let me not lie. But it’s something I can’t outrightly say ‘yes’ to because of everything we’ve been talking about. Insecurity in the country, threats I’ve received due to my activism, and Nigerians’ general docility.”
Despite his concerns, Falz didn’t completely rule out the idea, saying, “It’s so sad, but I can’t also say a full ‘no’ either because I’m very pro-Nigerian. I really believe we can get it right. But right now? I don’t know. Let’s see,” he added with a laugh.
Currently single and yet to start a family, Falz’s remarks highlight the growing dilemma among young Nigerians grappling with the decision to stay or seek a more secure future abroad.
