ABUJA, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)-President of the Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote has emphasized the pivotal role of domestic investors in drawing foreign capital into the country.

Speaking at the Taraba International Investment Summit in Jalingo, which brought together stakeholders from across Nigeria and beyond, Dangote underscored the need to prioritise indigenous enterprises as a pathway to sustainable development, job creation, and economic resilience.

He called on both federal and state governments to intensify their support for local investors, noting that a thriving local business environment is essential for attracting international interest.

According to him, no foreign investor would commit resources to a country where homegrown businesses are underperforming.

He stated, “I want to give a word of advice, Your Excellency, the only way for you to attract foreign investments or investors is by having local investors. Domestic investors are the ones who actually attract foreign investors.”
