LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)-American actress, Amber Heard has announced the birth of her twins in a heartfelt Instagram post shared on Mother’s Day.

In the post, the 39-year-old actress revealed she had welcomed a daughter, Agnes, and a son, Ocean. Heard described the moment as “elated beyond words,” calling the arrival of her babies a “completion” of her family.

Heard also referenced her first child, daughter Oonagh, born in 2021, and expressed that becoming a mother of three had brought her “three times more joy.” She noted that she had long dreamed of building a family.

“Becoming a mother by myself and on my own terms, despite my fertility challenges, has been the most humbling experience of my life,” she wrote, captioning a photo showing the feet of her three children.

Heard emphasized that her decision to become a mother was made “responsibly and thoughtfully,” echoing a 2021 statement in which she advocated for the normalization of parenthood without traditional marriage.

“It’s important to normalize not wanting a ring in order to have a crib,” she previously said.

“To all the moms, wherever you are today and however you got here, my dream family and I are celebrating with you,” she added to her Mother’s Day post.

Heard who was previously married to actor Johnny Depp from 2015 to 2016, is best known for her roles in films such as Aquaman, The Rum Diary, Drive Angry, and Zombieland.

Following their split, the former couple engaged in two widely publicized defamation trials, during which both accused each other of domestic abuse.

In 2022, a jury awarded Depp $15 million in compensatory and punitive damages, while Heard, was awarded $2 million in compensatory damages for one of three counterclaims.
