I’m Investing In A Couple Of Films — Davido Reveals

LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA) – Afrobeats superstar, Davido has shared his passion for filmmaking, revealing that even if music hadn’t been his path to success, he would have still pursued a career in the film industry.

Davido recently opened up to content creator Darryl about his background in business marketing and its profound influence on his entertainment craft.

Noting the current challenges in Africa’s film industry, Davido expressed his intention to capitalize on opportunities. He revealed that he had plans to invest in several films this year, collaborating with director Dammy Twitch on upcoming projects.

“I am investing in a couple of films this year. Shoutout to my director, Dammy Twitch. We have some ideas, series coming. The film space right now in Africa is going bankruptcy. So, we are definitely going to tap into that,” he announced.

He also talked about his acting skills, highlighting his appearances in music videos like “Jowo” and “Nwa Baby.” Davido confidently asserted his acting abilities, telling his host that he was a good actor.

“I can also act. I can act for real. I act in my music videos. I acted in music videos like ‘Jowo’, ‘Nwa Baby’,” he noted.
