Fire Razes Section Of Onitsha Main Market

OGUN, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)-A section of the Onitsha main market, Anambra State has been razed by fire.

Reports have it that the incident started at 6:20am where a building caught fire spreading to a section of the onitsha main market.

Some of traders in the popular Onitsha main market on Ifejika street, near Sokoto road are currently counting their losses after the fire engulfed their shops.

The cause and other details surrounding the outbreak is yet to be ascertained at the time of filling this report.    

 The head of media and publicity unit of the Anambra state fire service, Chukwudi Chiketa, who confirmed the incident, said the firemen of the state fire service were immediately deployed to stop the fire.
