LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- The Department of Mass Communication at the Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH), has finally received a five-year full accreditation from the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON).
The statement released by the Public Relations and Advertising Unit of the accredited department, announced that having passing all ARCON standards in January 2025, the department is now at liberty to run advertising-related courses in its pursuit of global excellence.
This feat eliminates the need for students to write the ARCON professional examination before joining the prestigious council as a member.
“It has also enhanced the department’s training in marketing communication, giving its students a competitive edge in the global market,” the statement noted.
Speaking on the development, the department’s HOD, Dr. Steven Anu’ Adesemoye, expressed satisfaction at meeting the “rigorous standards” set by ARCON.
