Microsoft To Invest $1m In AI Skills Development For Nigerians

ABUJA, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- Tech giant Microsoft has announced plans to invest $1 million over the next two years to accelerate Artificial Intelligence (AI) skill development for one million Nigerians. The initiative aims to drive digital innovation and economic empowerment.

Microsoft’s Country Manager for Nigeria, Ola Williams, revealed this on Wednesday at the launch of the Microsoft AI Tour in Lagos.

“This is a strategic investment to ensure that Nigerians have access to the critical skills needed not just to use AI, but to develop cutting-edge solutions and build AI-driven businesses that provide sustainable livelihoods,” Williams stated.

She emphasized that the initiative seeks to position Nigeria as a key player in the global AI ecosystem by equipping individuals with the expertise to leverage AI for innovation, entrepreneurship, and economic growth.
