LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- The Nigerian movie industry has been thrown into another period of grief, following the death of its “genius” movie director, Rotimi Raji, who reportedly died on February 15.
According to reports, he died in the bathroom of his apartment located at Baruwa in the Ipaja area of Lagos, where he lived alone and was found by a neighbor who paid him a welfare visit.
The concerned neighbor called out to Genius, but received no response and after several attempts calling his name proved futile, the neighbor peeped through an open window only to sight his unconscious body on the floor.

Following this, efforts were made to break down the entrance door only to find him cold and lifeless. His family was contacted and they took his body to the morgue for deposit.
However, further reports state that an autopsy would be carried out on the deceased to determine the cause of death.
Rotimi Raji, a storyteller and filmmaker, known for his creative writings would be missed not just by his family but colleagues, friends and the many fans who respected him.
At press time, no official statements has been released by his family or colleagues to deny or confirm the sad incident.
