ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- A tragedy has struck the Nnewichi community in Nnewi North Local Government Area of Anambra State, where three siblings a boy and two girls, were brutally murdered and their bodies dumped inside a deep freezer.
The victims, identified as Chikaima Daviana Ejezie (9), Chimziterem Dominica Ejezie (7), and Chimdilim David Ejezie (5), were found lifeless in their apartment after being attacked by unknown assailants.
Vanguard reports that, their mother, Mrs. Chikazor Ejezie, a lecturer and nurse, had left them at home to take an examination on the fateful day.
Upon her return, she found the apartment wide open—something unusual, as her children never left without closing the door.
Alarmed, she searched for them both inside and outside the house but found no trace. Her worst fears were confirmed when she opened the deep freezer and discovered their lifeless bodies crammed inside.

Confirming the tragic incident to journalists, the children’s father, Mr. Udobi Ejezie, who is based in Irrua, Esan Central Local Government Area of Edo State, said he was informed by his wife.
“My wife told me that after searching the house and with the help of a search party, they still couldn’t find the kids. Out of despair, they decided to check the deep freezer, and there, they found their dead bodies,” Mr. Ejezie recounted.
Devastated, he further revealed that the attack happened in the afternoon while the children were eating.
“In our house, a bungalow, we have two other tenants and the landlord. The kids were having their meal when the assailants struck because we found their food abandoned in plates.”
The corpses have been deposited at a morgue, and the case has been reported to the Central Police Station (CPS) in Nnewi.
Meanwhile, the parents, particularly their mother, have been left deeply traumatized. According to sources, she collapsed when her children’s bodies were being removed from the deep freezer to the mortuary.
Efforts to reach the Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer, Tochukwu Ikenga, for confirmation were unsuccessful, as calls and text messages to his phone went unanswered at the time of filing this report.
