LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- A mother has reportedly been stabbed to death by her son in a botched ritual attempt.
The 22-year-old male suspect known simply as Godwin hails from Elebele community of Ogbia Local Council in Bayelsa state.
It was gathered from various sources that Godwin, who had been away in Benin City, Edo state, for months studying at a ‘Yahoo boys training camp’ returned to his home a few weeks ago acting weird and in an unusual manner.
According to some sources, there was a prophetic decree on the deceased from one community pastor who warned her of the danger ahead and advised her against accepting any form of gift from her son. Another source revealed the suspect upon his return home refused to associate with his friends.
In defense, Godwin claimed to have been tipped off by one “Baba” who told him his mother was responsible for his failures as she had spiritually tied down his destiny.
