ABUJA, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- The national power grid collapsed again on Wednesday, plunging Nigerians into darkness.
From January to November 2024, the grid has failed 11 times, with three collapses occurring in one week in October, causing widespread blackouts and sparking reactions from the public.

A tweet from Nigeria’s National Grid confirmed the collapse took place at approximately 2:09 pm on Wednesday.
This marks the 12th grid collapse of the year, setting a new record.
“The major grid setback has occurred and the restoration is to commence,” the handler wrote.
