ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- The Chairman of Katcha Local Government Council in Niger State, Danlami Abdullahi Saku, has died in a tragic auto crash.
The fatal accident occurred around Kwakuti on the Minna-Suleja road, as confirmed in a statement by Niger State Governor Umaru Bago on Wednesday.
Governor Bago described the news of Saku’s death as “heartbreaking” and expressed deep sorrow over the loss.
“I received with rude shock the news of Saku’s death. It is indeed heartbreaking. This unfortunate incident is a sharp reminder that all creatures are from Allah, and unto Him, they will return at the appointed time,” Bago said.

The governor extended his condolences to the family of the late council chairman, the people of Katcha Local Government Area, and the entire state. He urged them to remain steadfast and trust in Allah’s will.
“We must remain steadfast in the will of Allah at all times, as He is perfect in all things. May Allah grant Aljanna Firdausi as the final abode for the deceased and comfort all the bereaved,” he added.
Channels Television reports that the death of Danlami Saku has left the Katcha community and the entire state in mourning.
His leadership and contributions to the local government area are remembered with fondness and respect.
