LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)-An early morning fire has reportedly engulfed the popular Abuja Trademore Estate Market located off Umar Musa Yar’Adua Airport Road in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The fire reportedly started around 4am with its exact cause still unknown.
According to Vanguard, a witness who is also a resident known as Joe said that he became conscious to the blaze around 4am.
He said, “We are unsure of the cause of the fire but an electrical fault cannot be ruled out.”

At the outset, several attempt were made to contact the Federal Fire Service and the FCT Fire Service stations.
“The situation is tense,” Joe added.
Furthermore, he disclosed that it was the residents who finally alerted the fire station at Dunamis Church. Firemen from the station arrived the scene at about 5am.
“Two hours after the fire broke out, firefighters from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and Sauka stations successfully extinguished the blaze,” he noted.
