ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- The Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT), has announced that Prof. Okechukwu Richard Oji, a distinguished scholar and expert in political science, will deliver the institution’s 40th inaugural lecture.
Prof. Oji’s lecture will delve into the critical topic of boundary management, exploring its significance in fostering peace, stability, and cooperation among communities in Nigeria’s South East region.
In a statement, ESUT highlighted the importance of its inaugural lecture series as a platform to showcase the research excellence and academic expertise of its faculty members. Prof. Oji’s lecture, in particular, promises to offer valuable insights and practical solutions for addressing the challenges of boundary disputes in the region.
The lecture, titled “Politics of the Fence and Politics of the Bridge: Desiderata for Effective Boundary Management in South East Nigeria,” will take place on Thursday, November 28, at the university’s multi-purpose hall in Agbani.

He has served as Director of Research and Policy Analysis, and later as Director of Internal Boundaries at the National Boundary Commission in Abuja.
