ABUJA, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- The Nigeria Customs Service’s Ports & Terminal Multiservice Limited (PTML) Command has announced a revenue collection of N288 billion from January to November 2024, marking a 34.8 percent increase from the N213 billion collected during the same period last year.
In a statement issued on Friday, the command’s Public Relations Officer, Muhammad Yakubu, highlighted that the command achieved a record-breaking monthly revenue in October 2024, with collections reaching N44 billion.
Customs Area Controller Tenny Daniyan called the October figure the highest monthly revenue ever recorded in the command’s history.
Daniyan expressed confidence that the officers and staff could surpass the recent revenue milestone, crediting their dedication, the compliance of port users, and the cooperation of other government agencies as key factors in their success.
He also reported that several seizures were made during the review period, with three suspects granted administrative bail.
