LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)-The Chief of Defense Staff, General Christopher Gwabin, has applauded the Special Independent Investigative Panel on Human Rights Violations in Counter Insurgency in the North East for exonerating the Armed Forces of Nigeria (AFN) from the alleged allegation levied on them.

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and Reuters alleged that the Nigerian army were forcefully carrying out abortions and other heinous operations in the North East.

The report which turned out to be false after investigations were complete, totally cleared the Armed Forces of any wrongdoings.
