LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- A young Nigerian male author, Elom Chinonso has been honored with the prestigious LMA International Best Male Creative Writer Award for the year 2024.
The award recognizes his exceptional talent and his growing influence as a voice for cultural pride in modern African literature, resilience and freedom.
The ceremony which was held in Asaba, Delta State, drew attendees from around the world to celebrate Elom Chinonso’s achievement.
Founder of LMA awards, Dr. Olubogu Ifeanyi(Petwise), presented the honor, citing Chinonso’s passion and consistency in writing thought-provoking stories.
A graduate of Nnamdi Azikiwe University and the University of Northampton, Chinonso has authored acclaimed books such as “Echoes of Resistance” and “Unchained,” and heartfelt poems like “Beyond Exam” and “The Weaver’s Dilemma.”

He uses his work to explore themes of strength, self-discovery, and resilience that has resonated well with readers globally.
In his acceptance speech, Chinonso said, “This award is more than an individual honor; it’s a celebration of Nigerian literature and our stories,” “It proves that voices from our part of the world matter and can reach hearts everywhere.”
In global literature, The LMA International Best Male Creative Writer Award is considered one of the most distinguished honors. Chinonso Elom is the seventh recipient in this category to receive this award since its introduction seven years ago.
As Chinonso continues to make waves in the literary world, his commitment to exploring themes of resilience, identity, and social justice is surely to inspire a new generation of African authors.
