LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) Nigerian singer, Davido during an interview with Kiss Fresh London, has discussed the privileges that come with his celebrity status.
The Afrobeats star asserted that he receives special treatment internationally, including invitations to presidential dinners in various countries, except for the United States and the United Kingdom.
In his remarks, Davido highlighted the significance of his global fanbase, which he claims includes influential figures such as the president of the World Bank and several heads of state.

“Every country we go to, the President invites us for dinner except London and the United States of America,” he stated.
He expressed pride in the recognition Nigerian artists are receiving on the world stage, noting, “It’s beautiful to see. Leaving my country, Nigeria, and being welcomed like the president in other countries shows how well Nigeria is doing in terms of music and cultural impact.”
Davido also conveyed his preference for touring in Africa, emphasizing that he feels most respected on the continent.
He stated that while his European and American tours may be more profitable, his connection to African audiences remains solid.
“I love my African tours more than the others,” he affirmed.
