The lawyer revealed that Darlington’s detention stemmed from a formal complaint filed by Burna Boy.
He was accused of defaming and cyberstalking the Grammy winner.
The content creator was, however, released to his lawyer on Tuesday evening after meeting the bail conditions set by the police at the intelligence response team’s (IRT) department in Abuja.
In a post via X, Adeyanju appreciated those who contributed to the singer’s release and commended the police in the IRT department for their “professionalism.”
Darlington had taunted Burna Boy over his affiliation with the embattled US rapper Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ who is facing multiple charges for sexual exploitation and human trafficking.
He also asked Burna Boy to explain how he won the Grammy award for his album ‘Twice As Tall’, a project executive produced by Diddy.
He claimed there was a sexual relationship between the duo.
