Lagos, NIGERIA (VOICE OF NAIJA)-The Irewole Corporative Multi-purpose Society (ICMS), Ilogbo Elegba, Lagos has held it’s 26th annual general meeting.
The meeting also provided an opportunity for the society to appoint and install new executive members.
The event held in the society’s hall at Ilogbo Elegba saw attendance from over 100 members of the society.
Speaking at the event, outgoing president, Sabitu Salami welcomed all present and expressed his happiness that the society is growing from strength to strength.
He said their loan disbursement has also increased from N19 million compared to previous years adding that their

savings has increased to over N20m compared to previous years.
Mr Salami also noted that the society is no longer a thrift society but a multi-purpose society.
“With the improvement in the society operations, we are glad to inform you that we have moved from Cooperative Thrift and Credit Society (CTCS) to Cooperative and Multi-purpose Society (CMS) which will enable us venture into series of business that are in line with cooperative laws,” he said.
He implored all members to rededicate themselves and improve on their savings and repayment plans to enable the continuous growth of the society.
The newly elected executive members are President, Mr Musa Rasaq, Vice President, Mr Caleb Ogundiran, Secretary, Janet Olayinka, Assist Secretary, Mr Yussuf Salifu, Treasurer, Mr Aliu Ismailia, Financial Secretary, Mr Jubril Samsudeen, Ex- Officio 1, Mr Sabitu Salami, Ex- Officio 2, Mrs Maria Whesu, Ex-Officio 3, Mrs Fakunle Grace.
