ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- Governor Abba Yusuf has sacked the caretaker chairpersons of all 44 local government areas with immediate effect.
The governor’s spokesperson, Sanusi Bature, announced this in a statement.
The sack came a week after the state House of Assembly approved a two-month extension to their tenure, initially set to expire on September 8.
The extension, the lawmakers said, is aimed at ensuring continuity in local governance.
