LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- Nollywood actress Debbie Shokoya has opened up about her emotional journey through pregnancy, following the heartache of a prior miscarriage.
Shokoya revealed that she faced significant challenges early in her pregnancy when doctors diagnosed her with high prolactin levels, suggesting that conception might not be possible that month.
Despite this discouraging news, Shokoya maintained a strong sense of faith.
“I thought I lost but God was planning the best for me,” she wrote, emphasizing her belief that divine intervention played a crucial role in her situation.

Her post conveyed a message of gratitude, highlighting how she felt the weight of her past trauma attempting to hinder her progress.
“The devil tried using my trauma against me on this journey, but God was standing for me,” she shared. Shokoya expressed deep appreciation for what she described as an overwhelming sense of divine love and support, stating, “God blessed me beyond how I can describe His love for me!”
The actress also announced her intention to share more about her journey on her YouTube channel, “DEBBIE SHOW TV,” encouraging her followers to trust in a higher plan amid life’s challenges. “When men say there is a casting down, God said, ‘There’s a lifting up!’” she stated, reminding her audience of the importance of faith during difficult times.
As the new month begins, Shokoya left her fans with an uplifting message: “God is working, and if you believe, He is on your matter and so passionate about you! It won’t happen in your own way; it will happen in God’s way, and trust me… it makes sense.”
