LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)-The Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji has urged civil servants in the state to uphold principles of probity, transparency, and prudence, while also promoting teamwork in their responsibilities.
Speaking in Ado Ekiti on Monday during the swearing-in ceremony of four new permanent secretaries, Oyebanji urged the appointees to integrate innovation and technology into their roles, bringing creativity, compassion, and energy to their duties as permanent secretaries.
The new permanent secretaries are Mrs Funke Ajibola, Mr Michael Boluade, Mr Foluso Akinwumi, and Mr Rotimi Akomolede.
The governor encouraged the permanent secretaries to validate their appointments by consistently delivering their best efforts, stating, “You must see yourselves as both managers of human and material resources of government.

He said, “You must therefore be committed to probity, transparency and prudence, especially at a time like this. As human resource managers, you will be expected to foster an atmosphere of teamwork, confidence building and collective responsibility.
“You should be a leader who inspires others and a solution provider. You must also embrace innovation and technology.
“In the next few months, this administration will be two years in office, we therefore need to run faster than we have been. Accordingly, all permanent secretaries must double up and increase the tempo of service delivery to achieve the shared prosperity agenda of government as it relates to their ministries, departments and agencies.”
Head of Service Sunday Komolafe expressed gratitude to Governor Oyebanji for the opportunity to serve and praised the governor’s various welfare initiatives that have improved the lives of civil servants in the state.
Speaking on behalf of the new permanent secretaries, Boluade thanked the governor for their appointments and assured that they would remain dedicated to advancing the state’s development.
