ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – A prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, Dare Aliu, has praised the growing number of former governorship aspirants supporting Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, attributing it to the governor’s impressive performance.
Aliu, Director on Diaspora Matters for Lucky Aiyedatiwa Campaign Organisation Foot Soldiers Independent Council (LACO-FSIC), said this in a statement on Saturday.
He commended Chief Olusola Oke for merging his political structure with Aiyedatiwa’s, as well as other aspirants who have declared their support.
Aliu lauded Oke’s leadership and teamwork, acknowledging his track record and capacity to recognize good leadership.
He expressed confidence in Aiyedatiwa’s victory, citing the governor’s achievements in the last seven months, including palliatives to cushion the effect of fuel subsidy removal, infrastructure development, and efforts to attract foreign investors to boost the state’s economy and create jobs.
Aliu highlighted Aiyedatiwa’s accomplishments, such as increasing public workers’ wages, providing free bus shuttles, and releasing soft loans to artisans and farmers.

“Even apart from that, the governor in the last seven months in office, has demonstrated to everyone that he is out for service delivery through a wide range of breath-taking physical achievements.
“To cushion the effect of fuel subsidy removal, he rolled out palliatives such as N35,000 extra wage to public workers; provision of free bus shuttles for government workers and school children, and release of N2 billion as soft loans to artisans, peasant farmers, petty traders, and others in the non-formal sector,” Aliu commended.
In the statement issued from the United States of America, Aliu said, “Chief Olusola Oke has impressed as a firm believer in good leadership and teamwork, one who sees beyond now and knows through unbiased assessment that Governor Aiyedatiwa has the capacity to perform well.”
“In our last conversation, we reckoned that there are abundant mineral resources still to be tapped in the state and that we have fertile lands suitable for large-scale agriculture, and we are in dire need of collaboration of real investors with the government to harness these resources for our common good, and the governor aligned with our thoughts,” Aliu recalled.
