LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- The Voiceover Conference 2024, has held its 2024 edition.
This year’s conference described as very successful by the organisers was held at the Oriental Hotel in Lekki.
The conference held on June 25 and 26, brought together industry professionals and enthusiasts for the two-day event focused on collaboration, innovation, and growth.
Conference convener, Emmanuel Afemikhe emphasised the importance of industry collaboration, inspiring a renewed commitment to collective growth and innovation among participants.
The conference featured a conversation with creator of the upcoming animation series “Iyanu,” Roye Okupe, which boasts an all-Nigerian voice cast, including Nollywood stars Adesuwa Etomi, Blossom Chukwujekwu, and Stella Damasus.

Panel discussions covered impactful topics such as “Impacting the African Economy through Voiceover,” “Making Money as a Voiceover Artist,” and “Telling African Stories through Technology, Voice Over, and Animation.”
The discussions equipped voice-over artists with the tools and knowledge needed to thrive in the industry.
Participants hailed the conference as a game-changer, setting new standards for future events.
Project manager, Damilola Oshifowora said she looks forward to continuing the journey of growth and collaboration in the years to come.
She expressed her heartfelt gratitude to all speakers, participants and supporters for their contributions to the success of the conference.
This year’s event, themed “DARE: The Audacity to Break New Grounds,” witnessed voice-over professionals from across Africa, Europe, and North America.
The conference featured a virtual session on the first day and an in-person session on the second day, expanding the voice-over industry by incorporating professionals at all experience levels and fostering collaboration among voice actors throughout the region.
Speakers at the conference includes Gboyega Akosile, Joan Baker, Chilu Lemba, Tim Friedlander, Wale Ekundayo, Flora Gabtony, Paula Gammon Wilson, Lau Lapides, Nadeem Khalid, Folu Storms, Wakio Mzenge, and many others. Their insights and expertise provided invaluable knowledge to the attendees.
